The company profile draws from main sources:

• Financial reports (annual published financial report)
• Integrated report (combining financial and sustainability report)
• Sustainability report (according to reporting standards, e.g. ESRS, VSME, GRI)
• DNK declaration (based on the the German Sustainability Code published by the DNK)
• Sustainability brochure (freely published by the company not using a reporting standard)
• Website (published sustainability information on the company's website)

The profile can be based on three active main sources. Past sources are saved as source history.

In the future, the rigor of the source will be considered — for instance, an externally audited report by auditors with limited or reasonable assurance will carry more weight in terms of data quality than unverified website information. This distinction will become important if companies wish to use their profile scoring for interactions with business partners or banks.

A Passport serving as proof of achieved sustainability performance will also require that the profile's sources meet a minimum level of rigor.
