The basis of good cooperation across national borders are company rituals that bring everyone together on a weekly basis and thus create habits.
score4more is to become a remote first company. We dream of an international and diverse team. The core team with currently about 12 people is already spread out - in Karlsruhe, Lübeck and Poland. To promote a strong cohesion and exchange, we have, like so many other companies, introduced weekly company rituals - this provides security, stability, trust and knowledge transfer. After all, people are creatures of habit in many ways - and that's a good thing.
Every Monday we start the week together with a Weekly. What is the personal energy level and what is the energy level of the others? What are the focus topics and tasks for the week, what do we want to create on an individual level? The weekly serves as an update for others, to share insights on which topics you are currently working on. On a personal level, the weekly serves to check in with yourself, reflect, and set focus topics and thus a task for the week.
Duration: approximately 45 minutes When: Monday morning Tool: Notion template with OKR Board Participants: all people in the company, as soon as the teams become too large, the weekly takes place in the teams themselves Goal: Check-in, check progress of OKRs, talk about roadblocks
In the middle of the week, we meet for a hackathon to work on specific problems and issues that need the collective intelligence of the group. This time period is blocked by everyone in the calendar to be available. A proposal for a hack is done through a proposal. Each person at score4more can bring a topic and get those people who are needed for the concern to join. Example: when we redesigned the score4more website, appropriate people with expertise came together in a hack, brainstormed and then implemented the ideas in step by step. The hack was used as a kick-off for the new design. Duration: about 2-3 hours (depending on the problem and topic) When: Wednesday afternoon Tool: various tools such as Notion, Figjam Participants: the person bringing in the topic pulls the people needed to work on the topic
We end the week together and meet virtually every Friday afternoon for half an hour. We reflect on the week together, talk about challenges and tensions. The preparation and content planning/structuring changes - so each person has the chance to practice facilitation skills, try out methods and prepare content experimentally. Thus, the checkouts are different and diverse. Co-creation - so already very nice ideas have been created, such as mood barometers, a low and highlight board, a mood board and many other association methods (If you were a drink, what would you be today?) tested. Duration: about 30 minutes When: Friday afternoon Tool: FigJam Board Participants: voluntary
